Marcia Theophilo, a Brazilian poet, and anthropologist lives between Rome and Brazil and represents the Brazilian Writers Union in Italy. Active in the defense of the Amazon forest, he focused his poetics on nature, on the indigenous peoples and on the myths of the Amazon, on the denunciation of the massacre that is taking place against him and on the commitment to its protection. Numerous his publications and awards at the international level. A candidate for the Nobel Prize for Literature, she is the testimonial of the “For a Culture of Biodiversity” initiative, promoted by the UNESCO Italian Commission for the education campaign for sustainable development (DESS).
