Steven J. Sacco

Professor Emeritus of French and Italian at San Diego State University (USA). He is the author of Growing Up Calabrese (Amazon), the story of his Calabrian-American childhood and rediscovery of his family from Miglierina (Catanzaro). Since March 2020, he has served as a co-instructor of CLIA at UNICAL. He’s working on a collection of stories from the villages near his grandparents’ birthplace and from Alexandria, Egypt where many descendants of diaspora Calabrians now live.
