Fabrizio Sciacca

Fabrizio Sciacca, B.A. in law, Ph.D. in legal philosophy, is Professor of Political Philosophy and Director of the Doctoral Programme in Political Sciences at the University of Catania. He has been Jean Monnet Professor of Human Rights and a member of the AHRC International Research Network “Institutionalising Values: Beyond Human Rights?” (UK). He is the Italian Coordinator of the Tempus Project “Strengthening Higher Education for Social Policy making and Social Services delivery”(SHESPSS). His research has concentrated on political and normative concepts in modern and contemporary philosophy. He co-authored the Handbook of Human Rights (Routledge, 2012).
